Claborne McGee Sr. was born to Eula Johnson and W. L. McGee on September 6, 1930 in Kurten, TX. He passed away October 22, 2021 in Bryan, TX. Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, October 29, at Jones-Washington Mortuary. Graveside Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30, at Bryan City Cemetery – Veterans section.
He was drafted in 1952 to serve his country the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. In 1954 returned home receiving an honorable discharge and two Purple Hearts.
On April 10, 1954 he and Patsy Ruth Harris were married and to this union five children were born two preceded them in death: Kenneth McGee and Paul McGee
He is survived by his wife Patsy Ruth Harris-McGee of 67 years; three children Sheila McGee-Jones, Melva Anita McGee-Johnson, Claborne McGee Jr, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, one sister Amanda Johnson McHenry of Ft. Worth, nieces, nephew, cousins, sister in laws, family, co-workers and friends.
