Daniel Perez

June 21, 1966 - January 31, 2023

Daniel Perez, 56, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m., with the life Tribute celebration at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 4, at the funeral center. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Daniel was born in Sinton, Texas, to Rudy and Elida Contreras Perez June 21, 1966. He was one of eight children born to his parents. Daniel was introduced to Gracie by his older brother. Daniel married Gracie after a two-year courtship and life has been a blessing ever since. Memories were embraced from family outings, holidays, and his love of his Houston Texans, and Houston Astros. He so enjoyed playing basketball with his "hood rats" in his earlier days. We all know how much he enjoyed a home cooked meal of fried chicken, BBQ, and especially his rice con pollo. Daniel was good grandpa who loved his grandkids. He was employed with Gooseneck Trailers and was so happy for the opportunity to paint countless trailers. Daniel was a family man at heart; he had his faults but loved unconditionally. He was member of New Heights Church in Bryan.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He survived by his wife of 35 years, Gracie Soto Perez; their children, Julius Perez, Stephanie and husband, Brendan Leo, Jennifer Perez and Brandon Perez; his daughter-in-law, Heather Perez; his three grandchildren, Daniel Anthony Perez, Maci Nicole Leo and Aria Grace Leo; siblings, Ruben Martinez, Rudy Perez, Estella Martinez, Johnny Perez, Ricky Perez, Rita Gomez and Marie Jackson; and other close family and close friends.

Growing up with his son Julius. We became best friends almost like brothers. Daniel and Gracie accepted me as part of the family. It was an honor. I remember the time we went over to their house for Super Bowl XLII. Featuring my team the New England Patriots vs The New York Giants. Daniel always gave me a hard time about the pats lol especially when it was the perfect season on the line. Or the time they invited me to go to Galveston with them after our graduation from HS. Best moments I won´t ever forget. rest in paradise daniel. Here´s the mountains in Salt Lake City. For you Daniel.
