Fred was an icon. I met him as a young veterinarian just out of school when he was President of the TCVMA. A warm smile and a firm handshake, Fred was always talking about the Aggies. I will always smile when I think about him. RIP

I met Fred and Vola when Peg and I visited Acton Baptist for the first time over 20 years ago. He was the first to greet us then and turned out to be my closest friend ever since. He was a guy you could talk to for long periods and was clear on his opinion and also wanted to know mine.I loved his joke telling as the best and even enjoyed hearing it again and again just because of the way he told it. I´ll cherish many times with him going to get a hamburger or counting deer at night on his ranch.I´ve missed him ever since he got bedridden but I will never forget Fred.He was special.

Vola and David, I treasure my memories with Fred. He was a wonderful man and exemplified Aggie Core Values. May he rest in peace with Jesus. May you feel the peace in your heart that we will meet again. It starts with a Howdy and ends with a Here. Always remember, Fred Palmer.
Here,
Phoebe
