Gary Wolfe Obituary

December 10, 1945 - March 22, 2015

Gary Robert Wolfe, 69, of Bryan, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 22, 2015. A time for family to receive friends will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Hillier Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Hillier Funeral Home, 2301 E. 29th St. in Bryan with Pastor James Heffington officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Gary was born on December 10, 1945 to J.B. and Margie Wolfe in Bryan, Texas. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan, Texas in 1964 and attended Allen Academy Junior College on a baseball scholarship. He also attended Texas A&M University with a major in business. Gary was a retired custom cabinetmaker and entrepreneur.Gary attended Grace Bible Church in College Station. He enjoyed attending TAMU football games, playing baseball, fishing, and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Margie Wolfe; father-in-law, Frank P. Patranella; and his granddaughter, Allyson.

Gary leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Laura Patranella Wolfe; daughter, LeaAnn Howell and husband John of Pflugerville; son, Bryan Wolfe and wife Melany of College Station; brother, James Wolfe and wife Anne of Bryan; sister, Annette Lamb and husband Gary of Bastrop; sister, Joyce Manley and husband Randy of Missouri; grandchildren, Lauren and Jase Howell, and Ashley, Anna, Alayna, and Drew Wolfe; brothers and sisters-in-law, John A. Patranella of Franklin, Bobby and Teresa Davis of Edge, Greg and Judi Haas of College Station; Mother-in-law, Lena Patranella of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the Traditions Hospice team for their warm and compassionate care. Special thanks go out to Marcella Leija, Joyce Johnson, Jo Bostic, Debbie Durbin, Russ Ridenhour, Jacque Shupak, and Stuart Young.
