Joy Nadine Baumgardner Springfield received her Angel Wings March 3, 2023, at 87 years of age. She was born in Dallas, Texas.
Joy had a 40 year career in the Grocery business until she retired from Brookshire Brothers in 2004.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Richard Kevin Baumgardner and James Robert Geeo; husband, C.C. Springfield; sister, Katherine Jones; grandson, Daniel Dobbs; daughter-in-law, Maria Baumgardner; and son-in-law, Paul Dobbs.
Joy is survived by daughter, Tracye Sanders (Paul); sister, Elizabeth Gullatt; stepson, James Baumgardner Jr.; stepdaughters, Maggie McGonnigil (Ken), Alesia Reese (John); surrogate daughter and best friend, Rebecca Atkinson (Tony); along with numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Joy's Life on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1 p.m., at Madisonville Christian Fellowship, 3973 Highway 21 East, Madisonville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to NAMI-Brazos Valley in Bryan or the Sonshine Center in Madisonville.
