Marc Boyd Obituary

Marc Boyd

January 17, 1958 - September 2, 2023

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved son, father, brother and friend, Marc Boyd, who left us on September 2, 2023, at the age of 65. Marc was a man of remarkable character, known for his strong work ethic, boundless love for the outdoors, and a stubborn spirit.

Born on January 17, 1958, Marc embodied the essence of the Texas spirit. Marc was an avid hunter and fisherman and was always at home in the great outdoors. He was an enthusiast of hot rods, and shared countless hours with his dad and sons building and tinkering on vehicles and various projects.

A true pillar of the Brazos County Community, Marc was an active member of the Brazos County Go Texan Association who left an enduring mark through his generous heart and charismatic presence. He was a social butterfly, effortlessly making friends wherever he went. Marc's infectious laughter and playful spirit made him popular among any crowd, and he never met a stranger.

Marc was a jack of all trades who could fix just about anything. His willingness to lend a helping hand and give the shirt off his back was symbolic of his generous nature. He was a true jokester, delighting in bringing laughter and joy to those around him.

Marc was a loving father to his two sons, Jarrod and Jason Boyd, and their bond was unbreakable. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and laughter.

In the company of friends, Marc enjoyed sipping Ezra Brooks Whiskey from a Styrofoam cup and savoring a good Marlboro Light. He had a fondness for Western movies and the peculiar fascination of "Naked & Afraid." These simple pleasures captured his appreciation for life's little moments.

In his passing, Marc rejoins his parents, William Joe and Lanelle Boyd, and his beloved nephew, Garrett Boyd. He is survived by his loving sons, Jarrod (Genevieve) Boyd and Jason (Kelsi) Boyd, his brother Garry (Tammy) Boyd, his cherished granddaughter, Quincey Boyd, and numerous close friends whom he considered family.

Marc Boyd will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will forever guide us through life's adventures, just as he did during his time with us.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to the Brazos County Go Texan Association and include "In Memory of Marc Boyd" at PO Box 5547 Bryan, TX 77805.

Marc was such a wonderful son. I met him when he first came to tour Broadmoor Place Assisted Living! We were instant friends and he knew we could and would take the best care of his firecracker momma. We adored his visits and so did his momma. We loved his spunk and amazing sense of humor. He was so handsome and always made our girlie hearts flutter. I remember helping him get Ms Lanelle to the hospital once and I was so touched by his sincere love and devotion to his mom. Marc was a great friend to me and I will miss him so much. I´m glad Jesus and Lanelle could meet him at the Pearly Gates and I pray he will Rest In Peace! Love you, Marc. Tammy & family- our deepest condolences! Hugs to you all.
