Phil Davis Obituary
Feb. 2, 1924 - April 24, 2021
Phil Davis, MD was born in Mount Vernon Texas on February 2,1924. He attended Texas A&M and Baylor Medical School where he met and married his classmate Joyce Stripling. They raised four children while practicing medicine and teaching at both Baylor College of Medicine and Texas A&M College of Medicine. They were married for 68 years and are now together in death. Phil died at home on April 24,2021 after a brief illness. Phil was a good son, brother, husband, father, doctor, and friend. He made the world a better place and he will be missed.
Graveside services will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco at noon on Wednesday May 5.2021. Memorials can be sent to Hospice Austin, The Buckner Foundation, or a charity of your choice. Condolences to Dr Phil Davis's family. He taught me when I was a medical student at Baylor. He was a kind and generous person, a great physician and a superb teacher and mentor. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Davis was a wonderful man!! I remember him walking across the street to attend church. He and my Dad kept touch over later years while each living in an Assisted Living. Both Drs Davis were great people. So sorry to hear of the loss of your father!! He is in a glorious place with Christ our Lord!!

So sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Davis. He was a wonderful man!! I remember he and his family walking across the street to Church. Does anyone know where Mark is?

Mr. Davis was a very kind and interesting man. He was such a blessing to First Baptist Austin, where he attended church in the last few years. I am honored that I got to know him.
