I have been greatly honored to perform jazz in the Brazos Valley as well as the Montgomery County area where Tom found me and continued to attend my shows over the course of around 35 years. He is surely the most devoted fan I´ve ever had. I only regret not being able to play in recent months locally so he could have made just one more connection. He inspires me to be available to those who enjoy jazz and desire to be in the room when it happens! Thank you to Tom & Celeste for encouraging me!

I wish I could have written more about Tom for the paper, but I really do not have that kind of money.
Tom would start each day reading the paper drinking coffee and a big glass of spicy tomato juice. If I made bacon that even made the day better. As we sat at the kitchen table, he always brought up many stories of his childhood, always having to wear shoes because the streets in Houston were made of oyster shells or about going to the movies downtown. Working at the paper with his brother Doug putting the inserts into the papers. Tom also talked many times about being on the farm in the summers.
Tom loved watching the news of course but the evenings were for entertainment. Father Brown was one of his most favorites. We would watch on Tuesday the FBI shows, Tom was always yelling at FBI agents to shoot the bad guys.
We also attend several events to listen to music. Don Pope was one of his long-time favorites. Mom and Tom started going to his events in Bryan and were blessed to find him over here in the Conroe area.
I am blessed with so many more memories that Tom shared with me, I will miss him.
While on Hospice, the nurses would always ask Tom how he was feeling and would always reply "I am Fine, Just Fine".

I worked in the Agriculture Communications Department years ago and Tom Sneed was my supervising editor. I remember his kindness, quietness, professionalism, and intelligence. He was a good man.

"Til Gabriel Blows His Horn"
Tom was a co-worker with my wife at Tx a&m. during the 80s. I enjoyed learned conversations with him and discussing jazz. He was a man of many talents. After he retired we lost contact but the name Mr Sneed would come up on occasion.
Condolences to his family. His memory still lives in our family..

Tom was the beloved brother of Doug Sneed and Sue Sneed Brown. The boys had many adventures together. They included sister Sue on occasion too. Tom was a quiet, hardworking, and caring man who shared his life with many. He was appreciated for his big heart and the love he shared with his family. He will be missed.
