This is Gib Rogers, a Carolina High School classmate of Gene's. He and I finished together, and played baseball on the State Championship Team. He was a true and valuable friend during the High School days. Always a joy to see and spend time with Gene at our Class Reunions. I will always remember and cherish the High School remembrances and will continue to remember Barbara and Rusty in my prayers in the months to come. I am a better person for having been around Gene during High School and the years that followed. May God bless in these times. gib Rogers (Lexington,SC)

My prayers to all of Gene's family. Gene and I were friends during our four years at Carolina High School (Class of 1963) He was a stand up guy then and I am sure through out his life. I got to see Gene at our class reunions over the years. Your family will miss you so much and while we didn't see much of each other after graduation I will too. May you rest in peace my old friend.
