Alberta Loffer Obituary
She was born Dec. 24, 1929, in New Bremen, the daughter of Ferd and Bertha (Wietholter) Ahlers.
She married Max Loffer on Dec. 20, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2002.
She is survived by her daughters: Carol (Steve) Axe of St. Marys; Stacy (Randy) Allemeier of St. Marys; by her grandchildren: Shawn (Loraine) Moeller; Nathan Moeller; Douglas (Rebekah) Moeller; Corey ( Lynda) Axe; Garet Fledderjojann; Calen Fledderjohann; Reagan Allemeier; her step-grandchildren: Austin Allemeier; Madison (Josh) Schwartz. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Timmy Moeller; Katey Moeller; Lawson Axe; Creed Axe; Livvi Axed; by two step-great-grandchildren: Grayson and Sutton Schwartz.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Edna Ahlers of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her husband; by her daughter, Rebecca Moeller; her siblings: Richard Ahlers, Donald Ahlers; Deloris Rasor; Eugene Ahlers.
Bert was a graduate of New Bremen High School. She had worked at Crown Equipment Company and the S&W Motel and in later years was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to casinos, playing cards and bowled in a league for 30 years. She crocheted many afghans for her friends and family over the years, and she was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, OSU Buckeyes and the St. Marys Roughriders. She and her husband, Max, were instrumental in starting VFW Post 9289 in St. Marys, and she was a member of Wayne Street Methodist Church.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.

My husband Tim and I would visit Alberta as members of the Wayne St UMC Care team. We always had wonderful visits. She was such a Roughrider, Buckeyes and Cinch Reds fan. She will be missed.
