Alice Suennen

Alice L. Suennen, 78, of St. Marys, died at 7:29 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 at Vancrest of St. Marys.
She was born Jan. 29, 1943 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Bernard "Fuzzy" J. and Maxine (Johns) Ribley.
Survivors include: daughter Annette (Terry) Goodwin of St. Marys; sons Martin Dean Monroe of Louisa, Virginia, Steve (Amy) Monroe of Charlotte, North Carolina and Christopher Monroe of Fredericksburg, Virginia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and sister Cheryl Briggs of Lima.                    
Preceded in death by: parents Bernard "Fuzzy" and Maxine Ribley; husband Richard Suennen; brother Bernard Joseph Ribley and brother Douglas Ribley.
She was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School (Class of 1961). During the last four years, she looked forward to a monthly meal with the "Lunch Bunch" with classmates from LCC.
She had worked as a waitress and manager of various restaurants and truck stops. In her later years, she enjoyed working part-time at a convenience store. Never knowing a stranger, she loved meeting new people and making new friends. Her nickname of "Trouble" was appropriate and well-deserved.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys.
Alice was a hard-worker and enjoyed making new acquaintances wherever she went.
Services are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021 at the Miller Long & Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St. in St. Marys. Deacon Martin Brown will officiate the services.
Visitation 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
