My favorite Frank Klatt story involved an event at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. During a break in the session, he was attending, Frank was going through the self-serve lunch line. Hearing commotion to his side, he turned and saw dozens of news cameras pointed in his direction. He smiled and waved to the photographers. Then, he noticed the cameras seemed to focus on someone or something behind him. He turned around and to his surprise, there stood Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon! Slightly embarrassed, Frank continued through the lunch line. I heard this story many times and loved it. Frank Klatt was an amazingly intelligent and personable gentleman.
