All.. Very sorry for your loss. I loved Walt’s laugh.
I once mentioned that I read the comics at the back of the publication.
The next month that page was torn out and Walt left a note that I should read the more important articles.
He had a “smiley face” next to his note.
A great person.

I got to know Walt when I was a Brother at St. Charles. I was an engineer in the Powerhouse. We also fixed things that broke, leaked, got clogged, or just would not work. I looked forward going over to the Messenger Press when any of the afore mentioned happened. Walt was always good for a joke and a smile. Rest in Peace

I haven’t seen Walter for about 8 years & I met him playing cards at the Chickasaw library. A friend of mine talked me into going & we truly enjoyed our time playing cards with all the folks that came. He was always so fun & pleasant to be around. A long life you have lived, now rest in our Saviors arms. My prayers to all the family

My sincere sympathy to the family of Walter. He was my boss at the Messenger Press many years ago and we always kept in touch with Christmas cards and whenever we ran into one another we would chat for a while. He was a very kind, caring and religious man and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace! Sue

What a happy and friendly man. He would always great me with a smile. I knew him to pull a prank or two but always in fun. Being the UPS driver at Messenger and Maria Stein I was able to get to know him. He was also my father in-laws cousin. Enjoy the memories of him as I will. May God be with you during this time of your loss of a good man.

My grandson and I met Walter at Briarwood at the monthly communion services on first Fridays while singing there with a group. We just saw him there this past Friday and sang “Happy Birthday” to him. He was always so kind to my five-year-old grandson. He asked him how old he was, because he noticed him whistling. He told us that he learned to whistle when he was in the second grade! My grandson really liked him and looked forward to seeing him when we came. Our sympathy to your family.
