Anna Marie Hayek

Anna Marie Hayek, 66, of Victor, IA passed away July 15, 2024 at her home. Anna was born May 29, 1958 to Vic Van Speybroeck and Eleanor McElroy. Following school Anna worked as a bartender at the Oasis in Belle Plaine then as a detailer for John Grieder Motors. Later she was employed as a custodian for the University of Iowa until her retirement in 2022. Anna married James Hayek and was blessed with two children before their separation. Anna liked her dogs and cats, and shopping. She enjoyed taking road trips, gravel travel, camping, and canoeing. She cherished her time with friends and just sitting together on the swing with Gary. She is survived by her mother, Eleanor McElroy of Marengo; son, Cole Hayek of Baytown, TX; daughter, Christina Hayek; significant other, Gary Warnick of Victor; grandchildren, Devan, Levi, Violet, Presley; siblings, John Van Speybroeck of Sturgis, SD; Cindy Landuyt of Chelsea; David Van Speybroeck; and many more family and friends. Anna is preceded in death by her father; and son, Seth Hayek. Private family graveside will take place at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea, IA. Memorials may be directed to the family.
