I had the pleasure of meeting Jim at the Quadrangle Dormitory at the U of I as freshmen in 1968. We stayed friends over the years with many fond memories. One of our favorite pastimes' was when he, my brother, another friend and myself would occasionally spend an evening at Rubes Steakhouse. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

My sincere and heartfelt sympathies to all Jim's family. Jim was our dentist for many years and we served together in the Lion's club in Van Horne. Jim was a warm, friendly and true gentleman. He was dedicated in whatever he did whether it was his love of his profession, his love for his community, his passion for Iowa Hawkeyes and antiques especially those wonderful signs but most importantly his love for his wife Lori and his children. The Lord be with you.
