DR. JAMES K. SHERONICK Marion Dr. James K. Sheronick, 71, formerly of Van Horne and Iowa City, passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, surrounded by family. A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. James was born Sept. 20, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Sine and Mariam (Chehedi) Sheronick. James was a dentist in Benton County, serving his community for almost 40 years. He was a dedicated and caring dentist to his patients and truly enjoyed being an active member in his community. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, and he was the president of the Benton County I-Club until his retirement from dentistry in 2017. When he wasn't watching the Hawks or attending games, he enjoyed traveling and antique collecting with his wife, Laureen, by his side. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Nicholas Sheronick of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kate Sheronick of Iowa City, Iowa; his siblings, Nadema Sheronick of Mission Viejo, Calif., David Sheronick of Detroit, Mich., and Yousif Sheronick and wife Kathryn Lockwood, of Tuckahoe, N.Y.; and nieces, Laura Share, Anisi Sheronick and Surriah Sheronick.
