Bobby Gene Poole, Sr., 79, of Henderson, KY passed away on February 21, 2017 at Methodist Hospital. He was born on March 19, 1937 in Hopkins County, KY. Mr. Poole worked in law enforcement as a radio dispatcher for the Kentucky State Police Post 16 in Henderson, KY and as a police officer for the City of Henderson. Mr. Poole also worked as a detective for the Pinkerton detective agency in Chicago, IL. He retired from Quest Diagnostics where he worked in logistics management in Chicago, IL. Mr. Poole graduated from Nebo High School in Nebo, KY and received a bachelors degree in business management from the University of Evansville. Mr. Poole attended Zion Baptist Church and was the youngest of eleven children. He was preceded in death by his parents John William and Susie Maro (Oates) Poole and wife Florence Margaret (Mikulski) Poole. He is survived by his first wife and the mother of his children, Betty Gower of Henderson, 2 sons: Bobby Gene Poole, Jr. and his wife Yvette and Richard Allen Poole both of Henderson, 2 grandchildren: Keith Allen Poole and John Thomas Poole both of Henderson and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be on Monday February 27, 2017 at 6:00PM with Pastor Mark Galloway officiating at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00PM-6:00PM and on Monday 3:00PM-6:00PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.
