Robards, KY
David Earl Burke, age 51 of Robards, KY died Monday 12/31/2018 at his home from pancreatic cancer. David was proudly employed at Evapar for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking care of his garden and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father Albert "Tom" Burke and his mother Edna Stokes Burke. Survivors include his wife of 25 years April Burke of Robards; 2 sons Brandon Burke & Wife Christi of Wilmore, KY and Ryan Burke & Wife Caitlyn of Robards, KY; 3 brothers Wayne Burke & Wife Kim of Uniontown, KY, Darrell Burke of Henderson, KY, and John Burke & Wife Jeanie of Henderson, KY; 3 grandchildren Harlow, Violet, & Brodin Burke; Nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 AM Friday 1/4/19 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY. Pastor Ed Carroll will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday and 8 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.whitsellfuneralhome.com

I only worked with David for a year or more, but he became a "work father" to me! I have missed seeing him and his smirk. It is very hard to see someone so young and so caring to pass. April I will keep you and the boys in my prayers! Fly high my strong David!

This is so heartbreaking. April, Ryan, Brandon and the entire family... I am so sorry that this has happened. You all will be deeply in my thoughts and prayers. I know that he was so loved and cared about by the entire family.

I love you Uncle David!! I know I didn't get to see you nearly enough, but I know you knew I loved and still love you with all my heart! This works won't be the same without you but I know you're not suffering anymore. Tell mamaw and papaw I said hi and I love them! I miss you and love you more than you know!
