Michael Risner Obituary
Born on March 2, 1955, he was the son of the late Howard William Risner and Tina Holcomb Risner. Mr. Risner was a retired mechanic for Monroe Auto/Tenneco, and attended Reed Creek Baptist Church. He made and sold homemade furniture, and was formerly employed by Ben Pitts Furniture. Michael also loved his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Ann Carson Risner of Hartwell; son, Michael L. Risner (Lucy) of Nashville, Tenn.; and his grandchildren: William Silas Risner and Lorelai Avalon Risner. Mr. Risner is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Steve Risner and Alan Risner; and his sister, Jenny Tyner.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 33607.
