Howard Simon Obituary

Howard C. Simon "Hi" Age 87. Peacefully, Tuesday August 25, 2009 at Salem Village Nursing Home. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong resident. A WWII Army veteran. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Formerly employed by Universal Lockport Corp for 14 years until his retirement in 1984. Previously employed by General Refractories in Rockdale for 18 years. Survived by his loving wife, Barbara A. (nee Radomski) Simon of Joliet; three stepdaughters, Sandra (Alvin) Tibble of Joliet, Jacqueline (late Elbert) Stollings of Chapmanville, WV, and Patricia (James) Stollings of Kenosha, WI; nine step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marie (nee Imfeld) Simon; one sister, Gertrude Klein and one brother, Joseph Wittenweg; stepdaughter, Harriett (Buford) Boothe Funeral Services for Howard C. Simon will be Friday, August 28, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Bernard Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Its hard to say good bye and im going to miss you .I will always have the memories and that alone makes me smile everytime I think about something funny you did.I pray GOD grants you peace and rest for eternity. GOD bless you HIYI.
