James Sukle Obituary

Sukle, James Martin "Jim" Age 70, of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Monday October 15, 2012 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center with his family by his side. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jim was a former employee and electrician at US Steel, Alumax and Borg-Warner. He was a member of Moose Joliet #300, a former avid bowler and graduate of St. Raymond's Class of 1956 and Joliet Township High School Class of 1960. Survived by his loving wife, Joan (nee Briones); daughter D'Annette (David) Dodson; son Joseph (Donna) Sukle; grandsons, Alex Dodson, Troy (Kerrie) Sukle and D.J. Sukle; great grandson Tandon Sukle; brother Tom (Michelle) Shook and sister, Patricia Martinez; brothers-in-law, Larry (Brenda) Briones and Jerry (Jackie) Briones and sister-in-law, Dianna (Donald) Pluth; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Kathryn Sukle; brother, Louis "Bob" Sukle; sister, Nancy Schranz; brothers-in-law Lawrence "Larry" Bak, Ricky Briones and Bill Schranz and niece, Joanne Briones. Jim's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ajmere, Dr. Patel, Dr. Karim and the nurses on the 4th floor of Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. A Celebration of Jim's life will begin on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life. Obituary and Tribute Wall for James Martin Sukle at www.tezakfuneralhome.com. I knew Jim well, from U.S. steel, and bowled on a team with him.We had a nickname for him(RINGO)-I have great memories of fun times with jim.

You were the Father you didn't have to be and I am so very greatful! I love you very much and will miss you always. I thank God for the past 2 years. Although not always easy, I am greatful for the chance to help care for you after all you had done for me growing up.
