Dear Kathy,

Your Mom was like a Mom to me, she was always open hearted, happy to see me, interested in what I had to share, and had more to share in return. She never forgot our early childhood friendship and remember details that I had long forgetten! Whatever her situation she gave what she had, and added to my life in ways that I will never forget.
I will pay her kindness forward, and always have an interest in people and their lives, and give what I have to give.
I am sorry for our loss, and your loss,

Sincerely,
Sue

It's been a long time since high school, but I do remember your quiet, kind ways. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mom. Mine has been gone since 1993 and I still miss her. God bless.
Sincerely,
