Maggie Bacon-Schultz Obituary

Maggie Bacon-Schultz
Born: January 10, 1949
Died: April 13, 2024
Maggie Bacon-Schultz was born on January 10, 1949, in Pickens, MS to the late Sam Moore and Rosie Lee Bacon. She made her heavenly transition in her home on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Maggie accepted Christ at an early age at Bethel Baptist Church in Pickens, MS, under the leadership of Pastor B.T Miles. Later in life, she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Joliet, IL, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Isaac Singleton, Sr. where she served as a dedicated Nurse until her health began to fail.
In June 1982, Maggie welcomed into the world her handsome son, Justin Rainey. Maggie was a protective mother who worked hard to assure Justin was cared for and loved. Maggie was very intelligent and easily caught your attention when she entered the room with her beautiful skin and smile. Maggie united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Stanley Schultz II on 1998.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Moore and Rosie Lee Trust; nine siblings, Sam Moore Jr, Jesse B. Moore, George Moore, Albert Moore, James Moore, Otis Moore, Emma Lee Moore and Icy Della (nee Moore) Jackson and Kizzie Cameron.
Maggie leaves to cherish her life and celebrate her memory: her husband, Stanley Schultz; son, Justin Rainey; stepsons, Stanley Schultz and Eric (Gabi) Schultz; two brothers, Harrison Bacon and Jesse (Charles) Bacon; goddaughter, Kiziah Cameron; nine grand-children and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 402 Singleton Pl., Joliet, IL. Service at 10:00 AM, Pastor Curtis T. Bryant, Jr., officiating. Private interment.
