Nancy Wruk Obituary

Nancy M. Wruk
Nancy M. Wruk, age 69, of Joliet, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 at St. Joseph Medical Center, with her loving family by her side.
Born January 13, 1956, in Joliet, she was the daughter of William and Vera (Dalton) Miller, and was a graduate of St. Francis Academy with the Class of 1974. For nearly 40 years, Nancy worked for First Midwest Bank until her retirement.
Nancy's greatest enjoyment in life was being with her family. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, aunt, and sister. She was an exceptional grandmother who created many special memories for her three grandchildren playing games, working puzzles, and just having fun together. She was the hub of her and her husband's large extended families, and she delighted in hosting holidays, get-togethers and family parties.
A longtime member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond, she was actively involved in many of the church activities, and enjoyed her service to the community through the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Nancy will be remembered for her patience, kindness, and generosity, as well as her ability to connect with people in a thoughtful and caring way. Her presence brightened every room she entered. No one will ever take her place.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 46 years, Kenneth R. Wruk, Jr.; her loving daughters, Katie (Megan) Slater of Seattle, WA, and Colleen (Matthew) Clementi of Channahon; three adoring grandchildren, Brayden, Keagan and Garrett Clementi; her dear brother and sisters, Peg (the late Kevin) Worland of Joliet, William (Peg) Miller of Westfield, IN, Kathy (Tony) Medved of New Lenox, Patty (Bob) Drysch of Shorewood, and Ann (Chris) Patti of Mt. Prospect; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Vera; and a niece, Theresa Lang.
Visitation for Nancy Wruk will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, at 9:15 a.m., from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Crest Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (www.luriechildrens.org) would be appreciated.
