Philip M. Bonelli

Bonelli, Philip M. Age 71, of Plainfield, IL, passed away suddenly, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital, Joliet. Born April 3, 1942 in Evergreen Park, IL. Cherished husband of Nancy Bonelli (nee Green) wedded for 33 years; loving father of Cathleen (Dave) Westfall, Jon (Jennifer) Munson, Carol (Timothy) Boots, Eric (Lisa) Munson, Sue (Jason) Eggers, Ginger Munson Perkins, and Chrissy Bonelli; loving grandfather of Paige Westfall, Sam and Katie Munson, Megan, Matthew and Ryan Boots, Hailey and Connor Munson, Ellie, Brody and Brooklyn Eggers, and Audrey and Andrew Perkins; fond brother of Richard "Bo" (Annamarie) Bonelli; dear Uncle of Erika (Jen) Bonelli; great-uncle of Zachary and Tyler Bonelli. Preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Phyllis Bonelli and his brother, Robert, who were tragically killed in a house fire in which Philip was gravely injured while trying to save their lives. Philip attended Brother Rice High School and was in the first graduating class of 1960. He was a 1964 graduate of St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, IN and a 1966 graduate of Southern Illinois University receiving a Masters Degree in Psychology. Philip spent over 45 years as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Hypnotherapist. He also taught at College of St. Francis where he was an adjunct college professor of psychology. He worked for Davkens Associates in Chicago, Read Mental Health Center of Chicago, Glenwood Medical Group of Joliet, Midland Institute of Joliet, and finally opened his own practice in Plainfield in 1979. Visitation: Tuesday, July 16th 3:00-8:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544. (Corners of Rt. 30 & Rt. 59). Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, July 17th 10:30 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 15629 S. Rt. 59, Plainfield, IL 60544. Interment will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield.
