Raul Weeks Obituary
Raul Weeks, age 57, Died suddenly November 11th, 2015.
Born in Joliet, Illinois, he was a lifelong resident. Joliet Central High School graduate, Class of 1976. Employed by the Joliet Boys and Girls Club and Joliet Central High School.
Preceded in death his father, Richard; One sister, Tracey; One brother, Shawn; and grandparents.
Raul is survived by Two sons, Michael & Aron; One daughter, Jessica; His mother, Alice M. Weeks; Six sisters; Two brothers; Four grandchildren; Companion, Pamela Dixon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services 11:00a.m. Friday, November 20th, 2015, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 Briggs Street, Joliet, Illinois, 60433. Visitation November 19th 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Range Funeral Home, 202 South Eastern Avenue, Joliet, IL., 60433 and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Reverend Larry V. Tyler, Officiating.

Hey Cuzz, It's been 5 years already that you have been taken away from us and it still is so hard to believe. I will always keep you in my heart the memories of our childhood in to adult hood will always be with me, and you will always be talked about cuzz. You were such a great humanitarian, cousin and friend and no one has said a bad word about you because there is none to speak of. You were my rock at times when you came to visit if there was something that was bothering me you would listen and make it better by giving your good advice and then you would come by the next couple of days to make sure I was good....I will Love You Always and You will Always live in my heart.....I Miss You

We grew up together and always had each others back in good and bad times. You would always come by my house to check on me and my family. I appreciate you talking to my kids and mentoring them at the boys and girls club. No matter where I moved to in Joliet you would always find me and never denied me as your cousin, you always kept it real. I had so much love and respect for you and this I the reason why the news was so hard for me to take in. I will miss you and will always carry our memories and the time we spent together in my heart.

Heaven has as a play ground and I know if you have a ball in your hands I could only image what you are doing , Thank you for all the lives you touched not only threw Basketball but with your smile and the love you had and showed us all from the game . Basketball Legend Raul Weeks. I'm 47 yrs. old and I was about 11 yrs. old when I had about this Basketball Star called Raul Weeks from the south end .
That was over 36 yrs. ago. That was a Blessing then and it's wonderful to know He was still Blessing kids with his Basketball gift. "GOD WATCH OUT FOR HIS FADEWAY JUMPER"

I was saddened to hear of Raul's passing.I knew Raul from my work on the East side and the JPD Summer Hoops Basketball program. He was a true gentleman and a positive role model for all of the young men that interacted with him. I will remember him for his kindness,generosity,and friendship. My deepest sympathies.
