Jr. (Christine) Duchene of Joliet, IL and Lori (John) Plese of Joliet, IL; Cherished grandfather of Stephanie (Michael Duvall) Duchene of LaCanada, CA, Brent (Kyrsten) Duchene of Channahon, IL, Rita (Ryan) Hughes of Channahon, IL, Kevin Duchene of Gilbert, AZ, Michelle Duchene of Lake Worth, FL, Danielle Duchene of Deerfield Beach, FL, Kristin (Alex) Parrish of Marquette MI, Dr. Alan "A.J." (Jillian) Plese of Huntersville, NC; proud great grandfather of Connor and Lucas (twins) Alexander of LaCanada, CA, Cameron, Madelyn and Mason (twins) Hughes of Channahon, IL Cole and Sadie Duchene of Channahon, IL, Raegan Plese of Huntersville, NC and Helena Parrish of Marquette, MI; beloved brother of identical twin Robert J. Duchene, Rita (Fred Mattea) Seneker, Gayle (James) Tennant of Joliet, IL. Fond stepfather of Ann "Sis" (Bob) Sterioti, David (Jennifer) Dulny, Susan (Chuck) Skeldon, Mary Lu (Dr. Bob) Larson, Mike (Toni) Dulny. Dear Step Grandfather of 10, Step Great Grandfather of 10 and Uncle to many.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pauline M. (nee Homberg) Duchene, brother-in-law Leon "Zeke" Seneker, sister-in-law Irene Duchene and stepson Greg Dulny.
Roy was a mechanic and retired as an electrician affiliated with IBEW Local 176. He was an Army Veteran. He was a longstanding member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.
In lieu of flowers with a memorial tribute to Brutus, Joseph and Rex, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the United States at www.humanesociety.org and deeply appreciated.
Visitation will be 9:00 am-11:00 am on Saturday, June 26, 2021 prior to prayer services at 11:00 am at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Rd., Joliet, IL. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL.
