James Potter Obituary

James B. Potter, 52, Monon, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at his residence in rural Monon.
He was born on April 21, 1957 in Plymouth to William and Nina (Macey) Potter. On June 24, 2006 he married Cassie Craig in Monon. She survives in Monon.
He had resided in the White County area for the last 11 years. He had worked at Brim Concrete in Monticello for the last seven years.
He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and gardening. He especially loved his Chicago Bears ("Da Bears"). He is in Heaven now with his buddy, Larry, fishing.
He was Cassie's best friend. He and Cassie wish to thank everyone at Howard Regional and Clarian Hospice, and all of his family and friends that helped take such great care of him.
Other survivors include daughters Crystal (Joe) Sansone, Orland Park, Ill., Ashley (Curtis) Terry, Fort Wayne and Tiffany Gardner, Lafayette; grandchildren Joey and Hollie Sansone; sisters Mary Lou, Charlotte, Diane and Nina; brothers Harold, Sammy, William and Lewis; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews Denise, Kevin, Keith, Kenny, Julie, Gabby, Jenny, Kim, Bobby (Patience), Greyson, Kendall, Makenna, Adam (Amy), James (Christina), Violet and Michelle; father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Betty Craig, Baxter Springs, Kan.; brother-in-law Richard Craig; sisters-in-law Patty (Tracy) Ingram and Maureen (D.J.) Cekarmis; friends Kerry and Bea, and all the guys at Brim's; his dog Jack; his cat Socks.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Chris Dodson of the Monticello Christian Church officiating.
Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery, rural Monticello.
Memorials may be made to his grandchildren Joey and Hollie.

I miss you brother more than words could ever say. I still can't believe your gone from me. I know your in good hands and with Mom and Dad, so it makes it a little easier for me. Know you are loved and miss so very much.
