Linda Ann "Ninna" Simard
Linda Ann "Ninna" Simard, age 71, beloved wife of Russell Orton, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was Born in Jamaica Queens, NY, and before moving to Bridgeport in 1976, Ninna lived in Brooklyn . Linda was a graduate of Hunter High School in New York City and had worked as a Contract Negotiator, most recently for Energy Watch Company until her retirement. Ninna was a member of the Mensa Society, she enjoyed making custom jewelry, watching Jeopardy and liked music, especially the Grateful Dead. She loved her cats (fur babies) that she would often rescue. Ninna will be lovingly remembered for her wicked sense of humor and for her generosity and kindness to others. A big hearted lady will be sadly missed by all who knew her. In addition to Russell, her loving husband of 17 years, she leaves behind her sister, June Wohlhorn, of Manhattan; a half sister, Winnie Ladd of PA; an uncle, Warren Andrews; an aunt, Patricia Andrews; cousin, David Andrews, and his wife, Janet, and their children, Aidan and Caroline Andrews, and cousin, Kristen Andrews, as well as her and Booboos special Fur Babies. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 11,2021 from 4-8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local cat rescue or pet rescue. Your contribution does not need to be made in Linda's name.
