Michael Cresiski Obituary

Michael C. Cresiski
Michael C. Cresiski (Mike), age 58, of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly Sunday, January 31, 2021. Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Raymond and Ethel (Grabiec) Cresiski, he had been a lifelong Bridgeport resident. Mike graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School and received a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport. He worked at Sikorsky Aircraft while working towards his degree in night classes. He then began a long career as a Data Base Manager at Perkin Elmer in Shelton. Mike also worked for over 20 years at the Brownson County Club where he had many close friends. Mike was a true lover of life, he lit up every room that he walked into. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, traveling and skiing, especially in Zermatt, Switzerland. His favorite days wouldn't be complete without a cold beer. He was an avid and devoted fan of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and an active member of the Sound Tiger's Booster Club, affectionately referred to as the "Mayor" of Harbor Yard Arena. He was also a social member at the Highland Golf Club and an ardent fan of progressive rock. Mike's memory will live on in his longtime partner, Joan Duffy and her daughter, Riley of New Canaan, his brother, Raymond C. Cresiski, Jr., his wife Diane of Las Vegas, NV and their daughters, Cheryl, Kimberly and Kristin, her husband, Tomasz and their son Chase; and his many loving friends who were the highlight of his life. A walk-through visitation will be held Monday, February 8, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Face masks will be required to attend the visitation. A public celebration of Mike's life will be held at a later date and will be announced. For information or to offer an online condolence, please visit www.SpearFuneralHome.com

Mike was always smiling. He would see you coming, make the eye contact and here comes that smile... You couldn't help smiling back.
When I was in a bad mood, he would tell me to sit with him for a few minutes and just talk. Not about your problem but over vacations or the weekend and before you knew it, you were smiling again. Your problem was still there but your mood was elevated. Not everyone has that ability. If Mike ever had a bad mood, I never saw it. Skiing in the Alps.. that's what he'd doing... I do miss him and our chats. Great guy, fun co-worker and truly a sweetheart. Gone but never forgotten.

Mike Ski was a great guy. I met him through the Ski Bears of CT when I first joined the club in 1999. I was fortunate to have enjoyed Zermatt with him and a crew of Ski Bears. We also shared following a local Long Island band called the Good Rats that came up to CT to play once in a while. The memory of his smile and personality will be with me forever. I offer my condolences to his family and many friends.

My condolences to the family.

Mike the Mayor. No matter what, every time I saw the Mayor he was always smiling and full of laughs. Got to know Mike over the years spending many nights and weekends at Bridgeport Sound Tigers games together.

The Mayor always brightened the place up.

Rest in Peace

Mike! An incredible guy!
And a great coworker. Mike and I worked side by side for his entire 18 years at PE.
I would come in in the morning and there would be Mike all alone in the sea of cubicles.
First one in. Sometimes he wouldn’t even turn the lights on. He’d be working away with just the light of his monitor. He’d throw his arm up”morning!”
Mike and I didn’t spend much time outside of work together but when we did, I used to comment and joke afterwards asking him if there was anybody he didn’t know. It didn’t seem to matter which establishment or in what townhe would inevitably run into someone he knew. AND, chat up a storm as if they were his best friend for life!! He may have been known as the “mayor” of the Harbor Yard Arena but I used call him “Norm”, after the guy on the TV show Cheers.
Yup, an incredible guy!
I will miss Mike immensely and he will forever be in my favorable memories of PE.
May he rest in peace!!
My sincere condolences to his family and to Joan and Riley.

Mike was a wonderful person to work with , always cheerful, willing to help and always new how to sort things out. Over the many years we shared many parts of our lives outside of work , he was always caring and down to earth person. He certainly made like if you were his friend you would be friends for life. This a sad and sudden shock . I extend my deep felt condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Mike was one of the nicest people I knew at Perkinelmer. Always willing to help out where he could and always had a smile on his face. Mike was always one of the few that always had a smile on his face, said hello to everyone, and was always the life of the party. A genuine good guy. We will miss you Mike.
