Nadege Francois Obituary
Nadege Gabrielle Francois, 29, of Hamden, Connecticut, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019. She was born on May 7, 1990 in Norwalk, Connecticut, the daughter of Jean Francois and Suzelle Dessances Francois. Nadege was a loving and compassionate person, she was a dedicated Social Worker employed with the State of Connecticut's Department of Children and Families. She graduated from Springfield College with a Master's of Social Work Degree. Her memory will be cherished by her mother, Suzelle Dessances Francois; her father, Jean Francois; six sisters, Natasha Telusmar, Elizabeth Francois, Sarah Francois, Bianca Francois, Keisha Francois and Chelsea Francois; two brothers, Kevin Francois and David Francois and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 17 West Ave. Norwalk, CT. with Rev. Dr. Lindsay E. Curtis officiating. Interment will take place at Mt. Grove Cemetery, Easton. Services entrusted to Graves Medley Funeral Services.

Dege! I love you so much! It´s been nearly for years and you being gone is still surreal for me! This year marks 5 years down to the very day and as I looked you up I was glad to see all the messages for you and all the lives you touched starting at a young age down to your very last day! I appreciate you so much! Our friendship, our sisterhood, our times together, our conversations, our disagreements, our commitment to push through together and become great! I met Nadege several years ago when she came to work at the Courtyard by Marriott in Windsor, CT.
Nadege was such a fun loving energetic, spontaneous person. It was a pleasure to have crossed paths with such a beautiful young lady.
Family remember we serve a God who is too wise to make a mistake, take comfort in his strength.

I remember well Ms. Nadege Francois's intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm for creating a socially just world, and personable style. I am sure that she touched many hearts where she worked and will leave a "good and solid" legacy in that regard. I send her family my sincerest condolences.

Her light will shine in the hearts of all she touched forever...
On 10/18/19, I was blessed with the opportunity to "meet" Nadege for the first time at a birthday celebration for a mutual friend. Upon greeting me, we immediately spent the next few minutes trying to figure out why both looked so familiar. I felt like I had known her before this time and she felt the same. I was drawn to her very kind demeanor and helpful spirit, as she communicated with me that she was not feeling well that night but yet, she was playing as co-host and DJ at the event. We talked, laughed, and ate good food! We vented to each other about the work we do, and she looked forward to becoming a licensed social worker. By the end of the night, I felt like we were friends, and looked forward to seeing her again. I thank God for this encounter, as I would have never imagined it would be the last. I pray peace, comfort, and understanding for all of her family and loved ones. She will not be forgotten

Nadege........ you haven't really left us , no! because your entire self has been branded in all hearts and minds and as long as we think about you, your presence becomes the very air that we breathe. I remember the first time I met Nadege at the Norwich DCF office. In walked this beautiful, confident young woman with a dazzling smile that lit up my office. I knew immediately she was special, and she never ceased to amaze me with her spirit, kindness, and dedication to her work, friends, and her clients. She put her whole self out there 100%. She has left a lasting impression and she will never be forgotten. To the family and close friends of Nadege, I am wishing you peace to bring you comfort and courage to face the days ahead and the many memories to forever hold you in your hearts.

I meet Nadege through a friend and we immediately became cool. She was such a lively, caring, ambitious, and intelligent human being. I am beyond sorry for your loss. She was truly a great person and I am happy to have known her .

Writing this is surreal & heartbreaking.. When I moved to Norwalk at 12, you were my first friend. You introduced me to your team & we were always together . I was more reserved, came off as mean & unapproachable because I was still learning myself & trying to gain confidence . You were always confident , strong , funny , and a friendly extrovert. You were the Ying to my Yang . Secrets didn't exists because I told you EVERYTHING. Words didn't have to be spoken because you always felt me . Goals were always made because you were Oprah & I was Gayle lol . I was brownie & you noodles . Being someone & accomplishing goals wasn't a question , how to reach them was . No matter what it was you got it done. You became one with my family & it was no longer friendship but sisters . The level of rawness & sincerity we shared is unmatched. I can never put into words how large of a role you played in the foundation of who I am today . You grew with me & grew me in some points. When we met I was a lost broken girl & I found a sister to heal & grow with and I could never repay you or God for that blessing. It aches deeply knowing that while reaching those goals we set ; we traveled down different paths & couldn't figure out how to get back on track .. at times I thought we were too alike, to stubborn. but in my heart we both supported one another from a distance . True friendship & love doesn't die , it just changes form - evolves. & even though I didn't get to stand by you during every step of your evolution I witnessed you . Growing & Glowing into the women God destined you to . You always remained solid for your family & friends.. you were simply you . Most people can't do that! they put a mask on everyday before they walk out the door but not you . Take it or leave it , & everyone wanted to be a taker because you gave light. One of one . No other like you , or will ever be . Hurts to know you not here & I will never have the chance for our paths to cross again. Hurts to know the person who saw me , saw me for me . Understood me, is gone. Hurts for Suzelle , Tasha & her babies. Just a horrible thought & feeling. Telling myself you were a Earth Angel that God called home & to never let your name , character , or legacy die . When I have kids , they will know about you & so will there kids . I love you forever & im sorry.
