Dick Linnartz was an angel sent to earth by God to communicate to us that God exists. Men don't come better than Dick. He will be remembered with gratitude and sorely missed by those of us he leaves behind.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dick's family. As a former City Hall employee I share in prior sentiments about what a generous, knowledgeable and welcoming person he was. I will miss his presence.

Dick was a valued member of the Public Works Department second to none and performed terrific public service for Norwalk. As Mayor, I appointed Dick as the Acting Director of the DPW when a vacancy occurred and offered him the position on a permanent basis but he declined. I always valued his advice because his professional judgement was always well-informed and prudent. I join his family in celebrating Dick's outstanding professional career.

Mr Linnartz,
May you rest in peace. I miss to this day your presence at city hall. Your sense of fair play, ability to find common ground in any situation was incredible. You always started every conversation with a smile and answered any questions with a positive tone. You were one of a kind and I enjoyed dealing with you always.
