I´m so sorry to read about Willie. I can remember when he started working for CL&P since my father, Harold Foster, was his
boss. I also remember him bringing up pecans when he would go South. He was one fantastic man. Again my sincerest sympathies.

With deepest Sympathy to Willie´s family and friends on his passing, I wish to share that I too will miss Willie. I worked in Norwalk and got to know Willie there. Additionally, we´d kept in touch through our mutual friends Lesley Gerould and Georgie Grant.
I´d like us to recall he was giant of a man, with a quick smile and gentle laugh. He was a dedicated and talented lineman, and a good friend.

With deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Willie Langley. The condolences expressed here and at his services are an indication of a life well lived and a man who was in a league of his own. The impact that his life has had on the Norwalk community will live on for generations. He was a trailblazer at the utility company, a blessing in his community through sports, church and other avenues, and a patriarch to his family and extended network of friends. May his spirit live in the hearts of all who loved him and whose lives he touched, and may he now rest in peace. With deepest sympathy from Norwalk City Hall friends of brother Donnie Langley and Cynthia Haith.

To Rodney, Gerald, and Renee,
I´m so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Mr. Langley was our basketball for coach for the Liquor Center basketball team, a new league for 13-15-year old´s back in the mid to late 70´s´s. He was a father figure to all that played for him, and you only wanted to give a 100% nothing less. I will never forget "my coach" and the impact that he played in my development for sports and becoming a man. I´m so sorry that I never got the chance to tell him personally what an inspiration he had on my life.
Thank you, Rodney, Gerald, and Renee, for letting us kids borrow your father for those Tuesday night practices and Sunday games

Rodney, Gerald and Renee,
Please accept my sincere condolences on one of the nicest human beings I've ever known. Your mom n dad will live in my heart n mind always. Cap league in the late 60's buddy league, little league and NHS baseball in the 70's and many years after that around Norwalk.
Mr Langley,
Rest in peace. I will always remember our discussions when the CL&P crew came to Little Anthony's during storms and also I never remember you without a smile.

One of the best guys I ever met. He was such a great person to sit and talk with. If I recall correctly, "Mr Langley" was the first african american linesman with CL&P and he was proud of that. He reffed my kids biddy basketball games and drove their school bus. They loved him. He was a true gentleman and the Norwalk community and myself will miss him dearly. My condolonces to his family. A life well lived and a great example to the youth of this city. God bless and rest in peace!!
