Edaia M. Barribo, 66, of Grand Island, Nebraska, gained her angel wings on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center.

Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

A gathering time will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Watering Hole in Cairo, Nebraska.

Inurnment will be held at 2:15 p.m., in Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Cairo, Nebraska. Timeree Andreasen will officiate the inurnment.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Edaia was born September 28, 1958, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Charles and Vera (Brandenburg) Lawson. She grew up in Central City, Cairo, Chapman, and resided in Grand Island.

She was united in marriage to Thomas Barribo on April 10, 1987, in Hall County. The couple lived in Cairo and later moved to Grand Island.

Edaia enjoyed bowling, dirt track racing, Nascar racing, keno, and gambling. She also liked listening to Luke Bryan and Kenny Rogers.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Thomas Barribo of Grand Island; duaghters & sons-in-law, Peggy & John Poehler of Cairo, Angie & Josh Meininger of Grand Island; son & daughter-in-law, Larry & Breanna Iiams of St. Paul; grandchildren, Courtney Lawson (Matt Sherman), Braelyn Iiams (Hunter Haughton), Taylor Meininger, Grant Meininger, Hunter Meininger and Brooklyn Iiams; great grandsons, Sterling McDermott and Colson Lawson; siblings, Barb & Delwin Ebert, Kirk Lawson, David & Penny Lawson, and Cindy Lawson; sisters-in-law, Kim & Kenneth Woodbury and Kay Barribo; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; very close extended sons, Jeremy Hostetler and Joe Hostetler; and her beloved dog, Sheba.

Edaia was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vera Lawson; brother Randy Lawson; sister Karen Lawson; brother-in-law Jerry Barribo, Sr.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Ardy Barribo.
