Glade C. Snoberger, the son of Ralph and Helen (Meyer) Snoberger was born at rural Aurora, Nebraska on September 5, 1940 and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska on November 26, 2023 at the age of 83.

Glade grew up on a farm outside of Phillips, Nebraska and then moved to Aurora. He graduated from Aurora High School in 1958. Glade played football, basketball, track and baseball while in school and participated in 4-H during his youth. He attended UNL Agricultural College for two years. Glade returned to Aurora and began farming in 1960 with his father. He continued farming until his retirement, when his son Matt took over the farming operation.

Glade married Carolyn Whitney on November 19, 1961. They had three children: Pam, Ann and Matt and were blessed with eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a great step-grandchild.

Glade was a long-time member of the Hamilton Co. Corn Growers Assoc, the Nebraska Corn Growers Association and National Corn Growers Association. He was instrumental with the Nebraska Corn Growers Assoc. in introducing a successful legislative bill which subsidized production of ethanol and was a catalyst for ethanol production as we see it today. He served as president locally and then served in office at the state level in 1984 for several years and was involved at the national level until 2000. Glade was also a member of the Grand Island Saddle Club, National Cutting Horse Association and AQHA. After retirement, he loved team penning and team sorting and raising quarter horses. He loved watching all sports. Glade coached his daughters' softball teams and remained good friends with many of his players. He kept everybody "in line" at the Vet Clinic, while reading the paper and drinking coffee for many years

Glade and Carolyn owned a cabin at Johnson Lake with friends, Rollie Carter and Luke Cox, and enjoyed many summers there. He taught numerous kids and friends how to water ski and played many games of competitive wiffle ball in the yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Bill Whitney, Alan Nissen and Bruce Neujahr; niece, Kristin (Nissen) Hood and nephew, Zed Whitney.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn; three children, Pam (Doug) Schoepf of Phillips, Ann (Jeff) Nachbor of Minneapolis, MN and Matt (Nicole) Snoberger of Aurora; 8 grandchildren, Brett (Jodi) Brase, Ben Brase, Elizabeth (Ben) Hinkel, Nicholas Nachbor & fiancé Elly Amighi, Matthew Nachbor, Jackson Snoberger, Emma Snoberger and Sam Snoberger; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden Ainsworth and Henry Hinkel. He is also survived by sister, Sharon Nissen and sister-in-law, Diana Neujahr as well as other family members and friends.
