James "Jim" Harvey Sloggett

James "Jim" Harvey Sloggett, passed away on March 1, 2025, at CHI Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska, at age 64.

He lived his adult life in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Jim's passion was auto body and paint and he had been working in this field since he graduated with a degree from Milford Technical College, Milford, Nebraska, in 1979.

Jim owned his business, Sloggett's Body and Paint, for 20-plus years. Jim truly loved and specialized in restoration of antique cars. Jim was hardworking and a dedicated person who excelled in his career in auto body. Jim was known for his exceptional skills and professionalism, and he was respected by his colleagues and clients alike. Jim had been recognized by others in this industry for his precision and excellence.

Despite his busy schedule, Jim always made time for his family and friends. He was a loving and caring dad, "papa", and brother who was always there for his family whenever they needed him. Jim had a great sense of humor and was known to be very ornery at times.

In his free time, Jim enjoyed gardening and landscaping in his yard. He loved his motorcycles and his loyal companion, Ralph. Jim enjoyed doing DIY projects in his home. He loved water sports and grilling outdoors.

Jim, the son of Cecil and Bonnie Sloggett (Finnigsmier), was born on February 7, 1961, in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Kayla Sloggett and Eddie Flores of Grand Island; Kayla and Eddie's daughters, Atiyana, Aaliyah, and Kaileah.

Extended family, Travis and Traci Kasperbauer and family, Jessica and Chad Rodenbaugh and family, Bryton Glaser and family, Ceara Glaser and family.

Nieces and nephews, Kari, Aimee, Jake, Ben, Andrew, Kacie, Nathan, Margo, Erin, Dan, Kathy, Scott, Trisha, Nicole, Branden, and Brady; other relatives and a host of friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Bonnie; infant brother, Todd; brother-in-law, Keith; and nephew, Shawn.

Visitation at All Faiths Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday, March 12th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Thursday, March 13th, at 10:30 a.m. at All Faith's Funeral Home.
