Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 3405 S. 118th St., Omaha. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, with a 7 p.m. Vigil Service.
Heafey Hoffman Dworak Cutler Mortuaries in Omaha and Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul are assisting the family.

John was a very good friend and fraternity brother at Creighton University. He was a kind and humble man. He always made me smile and feel welcome around him. My sincere condolences to his family. May Lord bless him and keep him.

I was John's Freshman year roommate at Creighton. I was sad to learn the news that he passed. He was a thoughtful and kind person. He was a great roommate and I remember our many conversations fondly. John and I stayed in touch throughout college; however, the graduating class of 1991 did not have cell phones and social media to stay in touch. I was pleased to read the lovely article about the live he and his wife shared for each other and art. My condolences to his wife and his lovely parents. I have thought about John many times over the years and hoped he found happiness and love. I am glad he found both. My list of people to pray for grows larger every year. I am sad John is now one of my prayer recipients. May his good deeds and extended kindness continue to move through this world.
