Paul Holz Obituary
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Colo., and a lunch will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations will be made in Paul's memory by the family and can be submitted to the church.
Paul was born in Columbia, Mo., and spent his childhood in Grand Island before graduating from Grand Island Senior High School in 1989. He went on to earn advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business and spent his career in telecommunications in both Nebraska and Colorado.
Paul was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his Huskers, Broncos, Rockies and the Avalanche. He also enjoyed golfing (especially with his dad) and never missed his Sunday afternoon phone call with his mother. He led with his heart in everything he did, and his quick smile and a helping hand will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Alexi Williams of Lincoln; stepson and wife, Eric and Katie Brandt of Omaha; stepdaughter and husband, Jessica and Jarad Lahman of Omaha; mother and stepfather, Gwen and Bob Meininger of Lincoln; father and stepmother, Del and Cheryl Holz of Lakewood, Colo.; brother and sister-in-law, John and Sarah Holz of Lincoln; nephew and special friend, Dillon Holz and Alison Riddle of Lincoln; niece, Julia Holz of Lincoln; fiancé, Angie Bowling of Golden, Colo.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his wife, Lois Holz.

My thoughts & prayers go out to his family at this time! Paul was very special to me, we knew each other as kids in high school. Time passed and we reconnected a few years ago. I´m grateful for the time we shared. I will always remember his beautiful smile, goofy sense of humor & infectious laugh! I miss him!

Very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I got to meet and work with Paul at the Centurylink Evans garage here in Denver and he was a really good guy. Positive vibes and healing hugs to all Paul's friends and family...take care.

I just heard about the death of Paul. Although I have not seen him for many years since we all moved from the neighborhood, and from GI, I will always remember the sweet, sweet boy that lived next door to us. He was always playing sports, and was the kindest child to everyone else. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. I pray that God will give you all some consolation.

I was saddened to learn of Paul's passing. He was a bellboy at the Midtown Holiday Inn while he was in high school. I remember him as good worker, fun and good with people.
