Leo Webb Obituary

Leo J. Webb
Leo J. Webb, 82, a pharmaceutical sales executive and past resident of Jamison, PA and Florida passed away on January 21st of Covid-19 complications
Beloved husband of the late Lovey (nee Hepburn) for 55 years. Son of the late Frank and Anna (Phillips). Loving father of Wendy (Rob) Schoenewald, Greg, Melissa (Todd) Adams, Scott (Mary Jo) and Marc (Lee Ann). The proud grandfather (Poppie) of 10 grandchildren Julia and Caroline Schoenewald, Emily, Eric, Brian and Kevin Adams, Savannah and Zachary Webb and Sean and Callie Webb.
Leo was born in Philadelphia where he attended St. John's High School of Manayunk. He received a scholarship to Philadelphia College of Textile and Science (Jefferson University) where he played on the basketball team and was a 2 year captain. He was inducted into the University Hall of Fame in 2012 as part of the 1957-58 Textile team that was the first in school history to make the NCAA tournament. Leo was an avid golfer and a 40+ year member of Doylestown Country Club as well as Glen Lakes Golf Club in Florida. He adored his grandchildren and loved to attend their games whenever he could and talk Eagles and Phillies with them. He always had a smile and a fun story and made everyone feel welcome wherever he went. He was a devout Catholic and proudly helped to raise funds for the new church at St. Cyrils. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends especially his companion Christine Lambert. We are happy he will be reunited in heaven with his wife Lovey for a Manhattan and a walk on the beach.
A celebration of his life will be held at St. Cyrils of Jerusalem in Jamison, PA on February 5th at 10:30 AM for immediate family. There will be a Zoom meeting for those that want to view the mass virtually.

I had the opportunity of being Leo's golf partner during his last year here on earth. What a trip..we had a ball. I heard 18 stories every 18 holes. I only knew him for 1 year, his friendliness made it seem like 20 years , and I wish I knew him longer than that. Like the previous comment from Mike Kealey, when I tee it up next season,I'll be thinking of him.
He always told me that he had a great life. He has the stories to prove it.
Rest in peace, Leo.

We will dearly miss Leo, our wonderful next door neighbor and friend in Glen Lakes Florida. Leo made us feel so welcomed as new neighbors in 2018, and was generous to us in so many ways. He so often spoke fondly of, and told us about his beloved children and grandchildren. The Penelope Drive community will never be the same. Our thoughts go out to Chris, and to his family at this difficult time. Leo, we will miss you!

Poppie was one of kind! We were blessed to see him often in Ocean City during our vacations with the Adams. The Poppie Factor! His stories were legendary., and his warmth and good humor extraordinary. May you cherish the memories of this great man forever.
