Adam Mitchell Obituary
I Adam Edward Mitchell have left this earth to be your spirit and know that I loved all of you! I was born 12/31/92 fought a courage's battle with cancer and died in my best friends arms on 11/22/2012. I leave behind my parents. My mother Aleshia Mitchell of Montour Falls was always at my side never leaving me while I was in my battle against cancer. Your strength and love was endless. Mom you were my angel here on earth. My father Robert Mitchell of Big Flats with whom I loved my time eating our chippies and Bison dip together while we watched wrestling on he tube. To my best friend Thomas Starkweather you gave me a chance to be free and dare to live. To take a risk (whether I wanted to or not) that otherwise I would never have done. You held me in your arms letting me go; I will love you always. Tim and Seth friends till the end. Thank you for giving me your friendship and taking me places so I can race my RC cars, boy it was fun! To Jess Wilson I have known you forever, you were a good buddy. To Shawna my cancer survivor, live your life and think of me now and again. You were given the chance to go on living so live! To all of my other family and dear friends and supporters, thank you thank you thank you. Someday we will all be together and know. I will have this place all figured out before any of you get here. Until we meet again, Adam. Family and Friends are invited to join the family for Adam's Graveside Service on Saturday December 1, 2012 at 10 AM in a celebration of Adams life at the Maple Grove Cemetery, W. Broad Street, Horseheads, NY and are invited to join the family at the Montour Falls Moose Lodge following his services for a time of remembering and celebrating Adam's life. Arrangements under the care of Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls, NY.

I did not know Adam, but this is the most beautiful obituary I have ever read. It found me all the way in Texas. I had no reason to open this in the S-G online, but something compelled me to do so.I will remember it always. His guest book is a testament to how special he is to all who knew him. I would love to see a photo and have a face to put with his letter. And to his parents, Congratulations on a job well done. You obviously raised an incredible son.

Adam was such an amazing kid. Growing up with him was such a joy. He always had a smile on his face, even through everything he went through. Adam you will be missed by soo many! My prays and thought go out to his family and friends! Rest in peace Adam!

I am so sorry to hear about Adam's passing. He was a wonderful young man who had so many challenges from his leukemia over the years. His mother was an incredible support to him and though unusual for a young man to write his own obituary it is comforting to know that he appreciated all the support from friends and family.
