David Duso

Groton - David Duso, 73 of Groton, NY, died July 9, 2021 in Tampa, Florida following a long illness.

One of seven children, David was born May 30, 1948 in East Berkshire, Vermont to the late Catherine and Jackson Duso.

David served in the Navy as a Seabee. He was also a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Stars, and FMF (Fleet Marine Force)

After 40 years, David retired from CSX Railroad where he shared several close friendships.

David was as avid sportsman and a proud member of the Foggy Bog Hunting Lodge where he enjoyed the brotherhood and shenanigans.

David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lugene, and sons Matthew and Joshua. He also leaves behind brothers Richard (Carol), Steven (Janice), James, Denis and a sister Diane Beaudoin. His mother and father in-law Wayne and Lois Billups brother-in-laws Thomas (Becky), David (Deb), and Mark Billups and a sister in-law Rosie (Richard) Hapgood. Along with several nieces and nephews and best friend, Pavao Milkovic. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother Anthony (Laurette), and a sister in-law Donna.

A celebration of life will be held at the Foggy Bog Hunting Lodge on August 7th starting at 12pm.
