You were the best boss I have ever had, so caring, generous and full of life! Not many people can say that their boss really cared about his staff, you did! He would make soups or meals on regularly and bring them to make sure his staff. You have touched many hearts in this area with your enormous heart. You were always proud of children and grandchildren; I know you will be watching them from heaven. Churchill's heart must be broken without having his best buddy with him. Mark Twain said “A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.” You will be missed but I am happy to know that you lived your life to the fullest and enjoyed it. God bless you and your family!

There is so much to say. The Updikes were a special family. David used to be there where all the families used to gather in T-Burg during the 70s and 80s. Yes he was all heart. Always laughing, always giving, alway there to give you a pat on the back. I will miss you David.

David,
You were a great boss and friend. I know those who you leave behind will sorely miss you. I have many great memories working for you at The mailbox. You were quite the jokester. Your generosity was your greatest trait. I'm sure you are running around with Winston right now, on the golf course of course!
God bless your continuing journey,

To David's familly,
David had a big heart, an infectious smile, and a spirit that is alive today. We may not be able to see him for a while, but I'll think of him every time I tee it up with Paul and recall the fun and revelries we shared on the golf course. The joy he expressed when he hit one well was surpassed in large measure by the pride and love for his family that he openly expressed to me. His kindness will be missed. His legacy, to me, is an outstanding family on Cole Rd in Orchard Park, NY. Theresa and Paul - we love you.

David was a wonderful business colleague, friend, and fun-loving guy. His crazy stories cracked me up and his fatherly advice warmed my heart. I will truly miss his forever faithful text messages wishing me well on each and every holiday of the year, and the random phone calls just to check up on me and my loved ones. It was my absolute pleasure to be able to know, work with, and socialize with David for practically 20 years. He truly loved life and always brought a smile to my face. God speed my dear friend, I will miss you.
