Dear Fred- I'll never forget the first time I met you at the TCPL and we were both browsing through the guitar mags. I really enjoyed the times I had with you and only wish we had had more time. I especially loved your singing those Bartenders Blues! All the best to one of the best. Love ya -

Whenever I think of Fred I smile and try to tell something funny to the next person I cross paths with. Julie and Elizabeth, I'm hoping your day today is as sunny as possible. Love to you both.

Fred, I remember us playing our version of Have You Seen Her Face by the Byrds over and over again. When I recently made a tape for my daughter of music that was important to me, I included that song, telling her it was included just so we don't forget. I won't forget.

Dear Fred, my first musical friend in Ithaca, and my dear friend forever: I miss singing with you. I miss waking up a sleeping town with you in the wee hours. Whenever I visit Ithaca, I so miss seeing your smiling face. My children, who do not know Ithaca very well (yet), DO know about you and your kindness. And my mother, who could read the world like an open book, loved you dearly (you probably see her now from time to time). Love always,

Gone but never forgotten, Brother Fred. I, too, catch glimpses of you around town and still get visits in dreams occasionally.
We miss your guitar licks in the band, and we're dedicating tomorrow's Relay For Life show to your life and times. You've left a big ripple, man.

Two of Fred's legacies, his daughter and his music, go on enriching my life and my family's.
I often expect to see him around town, or think for a moment that I do see him.
Good journey to you, Fred, wherever you are.
And warm good wishes to all reading this who miss him, especially Liz and Julie.
Love, Glenna

I'll always carry you in my heart Fred. You must be so proud of the beautiful young woman your little girl has become, of the strength of your incredible wife, of the dedication of your band, and the continuing love of all your family and friends. Be well in your new journey-I'm guessing you've developed lots of Fred groupies whereever you are. Nancy r

He certainly is beloved! My husband Sam and I knew Fred many years ago. Sam worked with Fred at Cornell. I remember meeting him at the "old Haunt" on Green Street where he was playing. They played Elvis Costello that night. Fred was a great man, and he was also one of the kindest people I knew.
