Saddened to read of Mr. Voss's passing. I met him and his wife years ago at my place of employment. He was an exceptional gentleman who believed passionately in keeping the message, "Never Again", in all of our minds. Thank you to his family for allowing him to share his time with so many of us. He was certainly an admirable human being.

Dear Ilse and Claudia,
We have got to know Fred and you more than 10 years ago by email and phone. In 2015 we visited you in Ithaca for a week and were very impressed that you welcomed us without any prejudice and with great cordiality, although we are from Germany.
We are very sad about Fred's death and miss him already. We will never forget him and keep the memory
of him alive in his native city Aachen. Today we will light a candle for Fred and soon we will put a stone on his
ancestor's grave at the cemetery in Morsbach to commemorate him.
We wish you and your family lots of strength for the difficult time ahead. We would be glad to stay in touch with you and send hugs and love.

Fred spoke to my students at Selinsgrove Area Middle School for sixteen years, and during those years Ilse, Fred, Bob and I became family by choice. Words cannot sufficiently express the gratitude we feel for having Fred and Ilse in our lives. I sincerely hope to see Fred again one day when I pass over too. We love you Ilse. Our thoughts, prayers and hugs are with you and your family.
