Janet Ward Obituary
Janet D. Ward, 77, formerly of Ithaca, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the Immanuel Campus of Care in Peoria, AZ. Born in Sayre, PA, daughter of the late Calvin and Laura Slyuter Collins.
Janet retired from Cornell University as a printer with over 30 years of service.
Survivors include her sons, Rodger (Cheryl) Ward of Spencer, NY, Patrick (Mini) Ward of Seattle, WA, Michael Ward of El Mirage, AZ and Joseph Ward of Litchfield, AZ; daughter, Shirley (Joseph) Niles of Scottsdale, AZ; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; also a brother, Calvin Collins of Freeville, NY; and a sister, Bertha Zick of St. Augustine, FL.
Graveside services to be held at a later date in the Lansingville Cemetery will be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Tompkins County Public Library, Ithaca, NY. Bangs Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Dear Cal, Vivian, and family - My deepest sypathy to you and Janet's family. I've known Janet and your family for many years, as you know. She and I would meet for lunch or see each other work-wise often at Cornell. Her friendship will never be forgotten. I share in your grief, and may God comfort you in the days ahead.
