Jeffrey Popow Obituary
BROOKLYN, OH -
Jeffrey Scott Popow, age 39. His brilliant light was extinguished on October 11, 2008. Cherished son of Carole (nee Balog) and Peter Popow, loving brother of Anthony (Lisa), and adoring uncle of Nikolai and Dimitri. Devoted friend of Randy Decker and nephew and cousin to many. Preceded in death by his longtime pet, Tuxedo. Jeff was a 1986 graduate of St. Ignatius High School, a 1990 graduate of Cornell University, and an 18-year employee of NRAES, housed at Cornell University, where he served as Managing Editor.
Funeral services were held on October 18th in Brooklyn, Ohio. Tomon & Sons Funeral Home in Cleveland handled the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations specifically earmarked for pancreatic cancer research be made to The Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute, Attn: Alicia Hoose, 9500 Euclid Ave, Mailstop NB21, Cleveland, OH 44195, (216) 444-1821.
