Kristina Burke Obituary
Age 40, of Reynoldsville, NY, passed away on October 12, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She went to heaven at too young of an age and with so much life ahead of her. She left behind the cancer that ravaged her body for more than seven years, hopefully making it wonder why it ever messed with her. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday (Oct. 16) from 4pm-7pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11:00am; followed by a reception at the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church. Kristina is survived by her dedicated and loving husband, Allan; her two children the loves of her life, Kaylynn and Kristofer; devoted parents, Dale and Linda Jaynes; loving brothers, W. Scott Jaynes and special friend Geoff Marabella of Rochester, and Sean (Jonilyn) Jaynes, and their children Jaeden and Isaac of Ballston Lake, NY; grandfather, William Jaynes, formerly of Reynoldsville; brothers-in-law, Aaron (Molly) Burke, of Saranac Lake, and Anson (Tammy) Burke of Norwood; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by grandparents, Alta Jaynes; and Gilbert and Flora Hillerman. She graduated from Watkins Glen High School in 1994; SUNY Morrisville in '96, and SUNY Institute of Utica/Rome in '99. She and Allan married on June 26, 1999. She worked as an accountant for Advion in Ithaca. Kristina was a member and Treasurer of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church. She also volunteered as a committee member for the Schuyler County Relay For Life and was a Jamberry Consultant. In lieu of flowers, you may consider a memorial donation in her memory to the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church, 5092 SR. 227, Burdett, NY 14818; or a charity of one's choice. So sorry to hear of Kristina's passing. I was so very fortunate to know Kristina from working with her at Advion. Our chance meetings around Ithaca after I left Advion always left me with a warm heart and a big smile-Kristina was always so happy and upbeat no matter what she was faced with. I will miss her. May she rest in peace and may her family find peace and comfort in all of the good memories.

I was so very sorry to read of the loss of Kristina. I work at the dress barn That is how I met Kristina from her coming in the store shopping. I always enjoyed seeing and talking with her she certainly was a special person and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Carol Brann.
