Richard Kielbasinski Obituary

Kielbasinki, Richard V.

Cortland: 79, of West State Rd., Cortland, passed away unexpectedly January 29th, 2011. He was born December 18th, 1931 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Anthony and Victoria Kielbasinski. Richard was raised and educated in the Buffalo area, graduating from Christian Brother's Academy then from St. Joseph 's College. Richard and his late wife Arlene came to the Cortland area in 1973. While living locally, he was employed as a chemist with Agway in Ithaca. Richard's family will cherish his memory as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. All that knew Richard will remember his love for tending to his gardens and feeding the wild birds. He is survived by his son John (Michelle) Kielbasinski of Jamesville NY, his daughters Debra (Brock) Coffman of Denver CO, Karen (Daniel Culberson) Kielbasinski of Durham NC, Susan (John) Passalacqua of Ukiah CA, and eight grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his wife Arlene Kielbasinski in 2009. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 am at St. Mary's Church, Cortland. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Cortland. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to St. Mary's School, 61 N. Main St., Cortland NY 13045. I'm very sorry about your loss. Rich was a great guy & I enjoyed working with him over the years at the laboratory. He was fun to talk to & will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but I will never forget him or how he made people smile.
