In Memoriam

Richard Robin Palmer

April 7, 1930-Aug. 20, 2010

Richly blessed and colorful to the end, he gave his eighty years quite a thrill.

Though our hearts are still heavy with his passing, we take comfort in the beautiful memories and joyful music he left behind and in the things he fought for so that we will have a better world for everyone.

We thank his wonderful doctors, Dr. Mohyuddin, Dr. Husseini, Dr. Garbo and Dr. Bael who gave him the courage to live with his twenty year battle with cancer, and to the hundreds of nurses he called "angels" who enjoyed his singing and stories.

To the members of the Ithaca Gay Men's Chorus who embraced and loved him without reservation, to our friends who gave to Robin's charities, to our Kiwanis family, The Filipino community, Dirk Galbraith, Scott Miller and to everyone who never wavered in their faith in Robin's desire and passion to do the right thing -- our limitless thanks and endless appreciation.

Robin had a song to sing and he sang it well. Thank you for having been part of his wonderful world.

I cannot believe that it has been a year already! I did a live tribute for Robin on PEGASYS and many people called in and shared their thought and memories about Robin. I still have it on-line if anyone want to see the show at: www.michaelangley.com I miss you Robin, but I know that your spirit is strong and that you are out there throwing your shoes at something that you don't believe in!
