Robert Jordan Obituary
Owego: Robert E. Jordan, 75, of Owego passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Bob is predeceased by his parents, Fay and Kathryn Jordan; sisters, Violet and Gloria; brother, Dickie. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra; children, Robin (Philip) Kwiatkowski of Owego, Robert (Denise) Jordan of Richford, and Renee (Ed) Jordan of Berkshire; brothers and sisters, Fay (Becky) Jordan of LA, Delores (Ducky) Compton of Caroline Center, Charlotte Bevis, Shirley (Dick) Andreas, Roger (Carol) Jordan, Art (Bonnie) Jordan, and Judy (Chuck) Morse, all of Speedsville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice (Tizzy) Jordan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob worked for Meals on Wheels for over 10 years and enjoyed taking care of other people. He was a lifelong member of the Speedsville Volunteer Fire Co., and served in the Air Force for four years. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, but most of all, his family, which he took great care of. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1504 76 Road, Speedsville with Rev. Richard Schaal, Rev. Philip Jordan, and Pastor Robert Seymour officiating. Family invites friends to call from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be held in the spring at Speedsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to Speedsville Community Hall, c/o Art Jordan, 28 Mill Road, Berkshire, NY 13736. www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com

I remember Bob from when I was young girl growing up in Berkshire. All the clients Bob served while working for meals on wheels were very greatful he had 'time' for them during his deliveries My thoughts are with you sincerely Elizabeth (Belden) Harris
