He enlisted in the US Air Force January, 1962, and proudly and honorably served his country for 21 years. Upon retirement from the Air Force, Bob worked for the US Post Office for 23 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jan Sturm of Rustburg, VA; his children, Richard Sturm of Spencer, NY and Laurel Rockhill (Scott Belden) of Newfield, NY; five grandchildren, Charles Rockhill, Terri Martin, Jenna Baker, McKenna Belden and Rebecca Sturm; two great granddaughters, Grace Martin and Lillian Clair. He is also survived by two sisters, Alice Howe of Horseheads, NY and Shirley Fleeson (Ronald) of Temperance, MI; a brother William Sturm (Janet) of Pasadena, TX and brother-in-law, Louis Albright (Marilyn) of Ithaca, NY and several nieces and nephews. Bob's life was honored with full military honors and internment at Amelia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, VA.
